Jennifer Emch

Jennifer is a Supervising Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (E. 0500507-SUPV) in the State of Ohio. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), Motivational Interviewing and other cognitive behavioral strategies to help alleviate symptoms that reduce optimal personal functioning. She is a Certified Dancing Mindfulness facilitator as well as an Affiliate Trainer through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness, allowing her to teach Dancing Mindfulness as well as train and certify others to teach Dancing Mindfulness.

Jennifer has always had a passion for the healing arts. She has been involved in dance classes as a young girl, moved on to teaching dance in both Lake and Geauga Counties and then obtaining her BA in Dance in 1999. With a pull towards the helping professions, Jennifer then received her Masters of Education in Counseling and began working in the mental health field. However, Jennifer found clinical practice to be lacking the embodied creativity and cathartic release she found from dancing. After discovering Dancing Mindfulness in the fall of 2014, she found her calling with being able to combine her passion for creative movement and helping others.

Jennifer resides in Burton with her superhero son, Grayson.
